HDC, Hi!!! RE: Kemble RE: The following from John Rosser's post earlier today: <<Last year, at Dell's shareholder meeting, Kemble mentioned to several of us that he had heard, thru his impeccable sources, that MD and management were keen on splitting the stock 5 times in the next 5 years.>> Was this quote accurate? If so, then WOW!!!! Well, it was ...a few corrections though to make it "impeccable"... First, I didn't officially "hear" this from any management...what I had actually done was read and re-read my DELL "bibles" prior to Austin...after seeing what we were treated to...and attempting to configure the info from so many others at the Drury...You know you learn a great deal if you listen and absorb everyone's view points... :o) Also, I loved what Robert Williams had to say at the briefing..Just listening to everyone was a tremendous learning experience.. John Rosser made me stop and think...But, it was the words I had in the back of my mind from past articles in the DELL "bibles" that gave me the confidence to predict five splits in five years... Breaking it down...I frankly felt we'd get three in five years and that China would push another two...I had no idea we would get this last one this soon...but, then I think we should remember that DELL management is making these calls and if they continue keeping their word...We should expect to see very rapid growth in the near future... For, it was Kevin Rollins who told us that the third criteria for splitting the stock was "Revenue growth going forward"... Yes, I have heard some projected estimates from DELL concerning annual revenue earnings...and this is since the shareholders meeting...Frankly, if what DELL predicts is any indication of their philosophy of "underestimate and then overachieve".... Fez, I'm Scared!! Best, Kemble '
