OT regarding PetSmart vs PetCo:
Is it PetSmart or Petco who promotes pets from animal shelters?

A while back I stopped in one of the two. They had animals there temporarily "on display" to give more exposure for the local animal shelters. They had a brochure which explained that this is a corporate wide thing they do, and they don't ever sell animals themselves.

HJ... petco was a peta alert because they sold small animals like Lizards and Birds and no one in the stores really took care of those animals. But as soon as peta went after them they stopped. Figure if you are a pet store and peta goes after you - you'd better move on it! LOL how much are they making selling lizards anyway.

Edit - come to think of it, they probably make more selling lizards than I've made trading this week which is the big goose egg to use an animal term
