Analyst Coverage Predictions DLJ is just the start. I fully expect a rash of analyst activity over the next week. Here are my predictions. BancBoston Robertson Stephens will issue a report. BBRS immediately suspended active coverage when they were retained to advise on the merger. Now that the merger is done, they are free to resume coverage. Based on the circumstances, one would assume it will be favorable. Wedbush has a definite interest in TDFX. The number of reports over the past two months have proven this. Expect a revised report with new numbers taking the combined company and new FY structure soon. Buckingham Research has also show an interest in that the have already released estimates for the FY ending 1/2001. However, there are no numbers for the intervening quarters. I expect these will be issued soon after earnings. We haven't heard much from Fahnestock recently. Could be they've lost interest or were just waiting until the merger completed to update their numbers. I think they will either do this or just drop coverage altogether. Finally, there are two brokers that were covering STBI. They are Dain Rauscher Wessels (DRW) and Hoak Breedlove. I think at least one of them will initiate coverage of TDFX. Hoak Breedlove is one of the companies that did an analysis of the merger proposal. It's near the back of one of the merger prospectus volumes. ALL of this is just a guess on my part. Some is based on hard info I have and some is based on pure conjecture. Like the disclaimer on the Psychic Hotline commercials..."For entertainment purposes only" :) Piranha PS: Scanner?
