Jenna, you are right. I take profits all the time; just try not to take them too soon as that can be costly. My stops might not be as tight as yours, but be sure I will be outa there if it starts to hurt.

I even took profits on T (AT&T) a week or so ago when it hit 62 and I had 9 points. I figured T was a "fellow who'd had his day" during the Media One deal publicity, and that soon the price would start bouncing around while people waited to see if the deal consummated and was working. I note T is climing back to 62 but I'm glad I'm not waiting for it to get there.

Also pulled plug on AOL yesterday when it was two points higher than it is now. That did more to preserve my capital than make me much money, but did manage to make some. I'm holding almost nothing in my trading portfolio except WMT right now and don't plan to for a while.

Meanwhile, just for fun,I'm eyeing some odd little stocks that seem to be values but would be longshots and probably dead money for a while. Yep, I know, I'm nutz.
