Mesaba, you ask why not just dump our shares now and wait till 2000? You certainly should know the answer to that. When JMAR introduces its higher power x-ray unit in about a month (according to LA times), the market is a forward thinking animal. It will look ahead to 2000 since it is only 7 months away. Plus the programmable chips, and other business that will hit late this year or early next. JMAR is transitioning from a $135 million market to one that is as large as $4.5 billion. That is a dramatic step. Look at the stock Affymetrix for instance.

Affx has a market cap of $875 million versus JMAR's $40 million. Yet Affx potential is not only less than JMAR's (IMO) but AFFX has large losses. They have more shares out than JMAR and their stock is at $36. This shows that near term earnings are not what is important in the market, but the potential of a new technology. That is what AFFX has and JMAR has. JMAR has not yet been valued in the market yet. I believe it will when they ramp up the power in 1999 and introduce the x-ray source to the world in 2000.
