Scumbria - <What's the deal with INTC? It seems to be going nowhere.>

This is a typical seasonal pattern that has developed over the last several years. Spring and early summer is typically when I increase my position in INTC, which I am doing again this year.

Also, there is the associated hype around the K7, which I predict will not do much for AMD's bottom line for at least two quarters.

Scumbria - INTC down 1.8% today, AMD down 3.8% today.

I am always amazed at how much fascination there is with daily fluctuations in stock price. Often the associated change has very little to do with a company's fundamentals. Intel still reaped 100% of the profits in the x86 business over the last year.

SCUMbria - Re: "What's the deal with INTC? It seems to be going nowhere. "

That's because it is following AMD.
