Indian Economy- "There are clear signs of recovery" Dr.Rakesh Mohan Signs of an economic recovery are now clearly in evidence, says Dr Rakesh Mohan, director-general of the National Council for Applied Economic Research. In his view, a mild recovery might take GDP growth in the current fiscal year beyond 5.7 per cent. Dr Mohan does not deny that political uncertainty has an adverse impact on the economy's growth, but advocates higher public investment to take the economy to a higher growth path.
