Could it just be telling us that money is moving from counted to uncounted buckets? If not, how can you tell?

"auto leases are NOT included in the debt figures"
Are mortgages? if so, aren't houses effectively counted twice, first as consumption, then as debt?

The more I look at these figures the less I understand.

But housing prices are not included in inflation ... makes no sense. Supposedly everybody is earning a lot more these days -- but are they really when you exclude the escalation of one of the largest monthly expenses that a family has?
