Here's another big winner on the day. . .was trying to get word out before close, but system crashed. . .big moves last hour. UOLP - UOL Publishing seems to finally be getting noticed. . . Anyone remember this one from several months back? Up 2 dollars on the day. . . we bought this one at 2 15/16. . Closed at 6 1/32 up 105 percent from original buy. . .I removed it from our SAM list on poor earnings, but said it would come back. . .and I never did sell a share of it. Evidently it is being forgiven. . .has a tiny float and lots of really big name clients. Anyway, here is DD that I did back in February on UOL. . . Message 7987327 Rande Is

. . . . . . . .Some Highlights for Today. . . .05/13/99 Picked about 1 week ago. . .GIC closed up 3 7/8 [8.84pct] to 47 11/16. . .now up 10 dollars from where I picked it. . . .remember when I said I was putting A.T. and T. winnings from it's move up 10 dollars into GIC??? Picked on Monday. . .CLEV closed up 6 5/16 +[63.52pct] to 16 1/4. How many thought I was crazy when I picked the Cleveland Indians to be a big winner? IBM +20 3/8 today to 245 7/8 [+9.04pct] This stock was placed into our Long port 2.0 at 169.00 on March 24, 1999. . . a 45 percent gain over 6 weeks. April Alternative portfolio was up sharply yesterday and continued up today with a gain of .64 pct. By comparison all of the internet ports were down. This Alternative portfolio designed when internets had peaked for the year, has been gaining strength in the past week or so. Other important moves include UOLP up 48 percent and BDLS up 15.38. As I predicted months ago and have traded accordingly. . . Internets and High-Techs have performed badly once again. . . lower highs and lower lows across the board with just enough individual momentum plays to keep people buying without thinking. I hope you guys are paying attention to this stuff. . .you realize that if these picks were a batting average, it would be somewhere around .800 with more home runs than Mark McGuire. . . not many strike-outs here on the HOME thread. . . . William, aren't you glad you are out of Internets and High-flying High-Techs? You are aren't you? I missed calling the top by what 3 hours? Gee, my portfolio is not looking all that bad today. . . . . but then I have zero internets. . .zero financials. . .and the only high-tech high flier is MSFT. Hope everyone else is doing fine. I am going to relax until things settle down. . .then get back to MAKING money. . . still staying away from internets and high-tech high-fliers . . . sticking with our undiscovered babies. . .sometimes the pennies are the safest play of all.
