Hey guys I almost forgot. Must be getting old.

Remember IDC and DataQuest numbers suggested that Dell had a good calendar quarter (Jan - March). But Dell reports its quarter Feb - April. January was not a good month for Dell. So we take out the bad month (January) and we add in the good month (April) and we have a market share growth greater than IDC and Dataquest expected.

More units sold means more revenues and more earnings. The making of an upside surprise. Even Kumar figured this out.

I'll settle down now.

<<The momos got burned last earnings and now their being more cautious.>>

You may be right about this. Right now "the momos" are riding the IBM train. In the past they have done VERY well with DELL. Lets hope MSD gives gives them all the right reasons to board the DELL train again..<gg>!!

Best Regards,

Scott

It damned well better be more than .16/share, or the street will eat us alive. I'm not saying that to be flippant. I really do feel it's unfortunate that only meeting expectations is frowned upon in this surreal market, but that is the reality of the investment world we live in these days. I will say this, if Dell doesn't pacify the street to their radical liking, I will still buy more Dell, because someday soon, the real truth regarding who's who will sink in with the masses. Sooner or later, people will realize who is making money and who isn't. I suspect it will be later, rather than sooner though.

Ciao,
John

Grandpa Joe,
re >and a free toy surprise.<

I hope it is an MSD action figure, wind it up and it makes you rich. VRG Better than all those Star Wars toys we will soon be wading through.
