Alex,

Kotick said today at E3 that he expects 30% year over year EARNINGS growth and revenues to hit 1 billion in fiscal 2002. That's not too far away, seeing how ERTS just hit that milestone this year.

You know...I'm bummed. I was waiting for the IQC.com IPO...and then Go2Net bought them out today for $20 million. Damn. GNET also has SiliconInvestor. WIsh I bought them when they first announced buying this site way back when like I said I should. Damn.

<<Activision foresees 30% revenue growth

LOS ANGELES (CBS.MW) -- Activision dazzled the interactive entertainment industry at the E3 Expo with its newest in "mortal combat" games: Wu-Tang Shaolin Style; Quake III, its sequel to the popular games Quake and Quake II; and A Bug's Life, an adaptation of the popular Disney movie.

But what does the Santa Monica, Calif.-based software publisher (ATVI: news, msgs) offer investors? "We expect 30 percent growth in revenue and earnings year over year," said Robert Kotick, chief executive officer and co-chairman of Activision.>>

<<Activision's '99 Lineup
By William O'Neal
May 13, 1999, 5 p.m. PT

Activision is easily one of the game industry's biggest hitters, with enough financial muscle to acquire licensing deals galore, and the distribution channels to fulfill those back room agreements. No wonder the company's 1999 lineup is so impressive.

The list of title's that fall under the Activision umbrella is both long and eclectic, from the Disney titles such as A Bug's Life and Tarzan to Interplay's Kingpin and id Software's Quake III: Arena. With that in mind, we decided to take a more in-depth look at just a few of the titles that Activision will be releasing this year: Vampire: The Masquerade, and three Star Trek titles: Insurrection, Voyager, and Armada.>>

<what are you playing Q3 test?
it's out, but kind of has that been there done
that feel>

I agree with you. It's clearly a superb technical achievement, but I'm not that excited to play it. I guess we should withold judgement until the finish product is released.

On the LucasArts distribution deal. Was the deal for europe/rest of world? Or is Atvi distributing also the new Star Wars games in the United States?

Nice volume today.
