Robert- If Nextwave does become something, I think Q will have to do something. I searched the lwin filings and found no mention of nextwave.

I think the deal with nextwave was that Q would supply half the infrastructure for their build out.

Based on my understanding of GAAP, assets are written down to lower of cost or market at the point where management recognizes an impairment. Assets cannot be written back up, i.e. a recovery or gain cannot be booked, until the asset is sold.

Any Nextwave recovery would be a non-recurring, one-time event anyway, so the Street would not be overly excited. The strategic value of another regional CDMA network operator would be more significant.
