In it's most simplistic base there are only buyers and sellers of bonds.
Can I say that 'nothing else' moves this market?

The market for bonds can be reduced to a measure of this basic fact.
Whatever indicator one wishes to apply...it is at its core a measure of the "eagerness" of buyers and sellers.

But people buy and sell bonds for different reasons and this adds to the complexity of anticipating which direction bonds will move.

So it's perfectly logical to say, "people are raising their return criteria and bond yields need to back up to keep people interested."
