True, but what I was hoping for were some news on, or a summary of, QNTM's activities in this area. Its always important to see where future technologies are in progress, even if they have a long time to go. Near-field-recording (??) seemed hot a year ago or so, what happened since then? Speaking about technology, QNTM was awfully late to market a 10K rpm drive and they are not at all present in the 2.5" (or smaller) drive business for notebooks, which is probably the fastest growing segment of the DD sector in the near to mid-term future. However, they have the edge with tape-drives, that's for sure. Michael
