INTERVIEW-Transocean sees earnings erosion
HOUSTON, May 13 (Reuters) - Drilling contractor Transocean Offshore Inc.'s (RIG - news) earnings will likely be lower in the remaining quarters of 1999 than in the corresponding periods of 1998, Transocean Chairman Michael Talbert said on Thursday.

''The First Call estimate is that they'll be coming down for the rest of the year. That's probably right,'' Talbert told Reuters at the company's annual meeting of stockholders.
