Also, how do you know where it will stop going down? TA and sentiment will give you clues. LU was cut in 1/2 in 3 months. 'fundamentals' were intact. There was a general market selloff and panic due to concerns over Asia. LU was still fundamentally sound although the economy was perceived to be ready to tank. In retrospect an excellent buying opportunity. If my recollection serves me correctly the "elephants" panicked and the little guy stepped in and bought the dip. At least that's the way CNBC portrayed it at the time. Kernan's demeanor was one of fear. Buy when you're gripped by fear, and sell when you become euphoric.
