Mr. Gerstner painted a rosy picture of
IBM's place in the technology world. He
called soaring Internet companies "fireflies before the storm" that
are "all stirred up" and "throwing up sparks." Mr. Gerstner
suggested that "maybe one or two of them will be profitable.

My post to you specifically mentioned Dell. Based on these statements does it sound like Gerstner is talking about Dell??? As for the internuts, I happen to agree with him. I thought it was a bit much when AOL passed IBM in market cap a month or so ago. Have you been reading Chuzz's valuation posts on Amazon and others???
