I looked into the direct tv offer as well since I currently subscribe to Direct TV. They told me I needed a new dish and that the setup would NOT work with a laptop. Since I do all my work on a laptop, the discussion ended! The rates were also quite high. sz

Nat, I have seen the dish and box at no charge after a programing rebate. The installation is easy and only took me about an hour which also included my reading and learning time. I don't pay any box rental. I only pay for programing. Try looking on the net for this deal. I'll have a look around and will PM you anything I find. BTW I paid $799 3 or 4 years ago for the same thing I just told you about. Vendit
