Doug, no X-ray lithography will not be the only application of the x-ray source. It will not take 5 years for JMAR to get orders even in the lithography area. I believe that an order could be in hand as early as the end of 1999 (red chip?). Anyhow here is a list of other applications that the x-ray unit could be applied to. Not related to lithography and large markets involved: This is from a previous JMAR release: ''This new X-ray milestone represents a significant advance in the Company's drive to develop a compact, lower-cost alternative to the large, costly synchrotrons for advanced semiconductor lithography applications. Its tiny, less than seven microns, X-ray source spot size also opens the door for JMAR to become a serious competitor in alternative major-market X-ray applications such as high resolution X-ray imaging, radiobiology, X-ray fluorescence analysis and micromachining.''
