Oops...I did the same thing... I had a 5:05 timestamp and ended up buying a little too much on Wednesday...which left me with only a few hundred left in the cash and option buying power. I too, sold to free enough cash, but this time, the ETrade rep was right, no shares for me... Mark

RDMSQUITO... I was in the same boat this morning. I had about $900 cash available but I sold a small position to make $ available in case I got ALOY. The only thing you haven't mentioned is whether you have a cash or margin account. I have a margin account. I got 100 ALOY with a 5:06 timestamp.

It seems that as mentioned on this thread earlier that Cash Must Be In Account the Morning Of Pricing.. Had a good timestamp at 5:05 on Alloy, but got the "Dear John" alert. I should not mind my cash being tied up, because I have added to my IPO holdings in TSCM, MMXI, VUSA and NETP on dips. 4-Bob
