Kash,

My observations this quarter at retial are that the Celeron has taken away a lot of K6-2 market share, and that many of the AMD systems (even as of today) are in the 350, 380, and 400 speed grades. I have seen 450s from Compaq and IBM, but many more Celeron 433 and 466. My guess is that AMD does not ship 5 million units and that ASP does not improve. But, it looks like all systems are go for the K7. The check is still in the mail. I hope I'm wrong, but I expect a pre-announcement soon.

Pravin.

kash, Re: I anticipate that Intel will cut prices again in a few weeks if the K7 really comes out

No matter what K7 would turn out to be, there will be (according to
those leaked price roadmap) one price cut in July and another
in September. If there is more than those two, I may blink my
eyes.
