All-

Caught the very tail end of a "New Media News" segment this evening which was discussing Wells Fargo and how bill presentment was being called the "next killer app" on the Internet. Unfortunately I didn't really hear the story, I just caught the last two sentences of the "anchors" discussing the story afterwards.

Anyway, seems to me that this whole "bill presentment and payment" thing is starting to get alot more attention. CheckFree's a great place to be in times like these.

I found the transcript on their website:

newmedianews.com

"I think online banking is surprising people right now
because folks are signing up in droves, and it's not just
with my bank, Wells Fargo," says Sharon Osberg. "I
think the first quarter results have surprised a lot of
analysts."

"Their latest
innovation is Bill Presentment, which means a utility, or
a phone company, or anyone you regularly owe money
to could just send the bill right to your computer."

Sharon's the one who met the group in Fla, right?
