>>>On the other hand, there are many people who would disagree with your contention that the pictures taken with current megapixel cameras compare favorably with 35mm film.

And there are also those who might not consider 120 pictures to be all the storage they will ever need. <<<

Allen...

Points well taken... Thanks for the response....

Have you considered something else when evaluating the cost/mb. of compact flash? Everytime you use your card the cost goes down... i.e. Say I've used my 32mb card 10 times... I processed 320mb of data so the cost per goes down each time I use the card... It may be a bit of a stretch to see it that way but I think that view has some validity when calculating the long term cost of compactflash memory....

Allen and all IOM followers, Iomegazine "Striptease" has begun... Mel

The tease is definitely on. I rummaged through the images/ folder and came up with this sequence:

March 29th, the relaxing man.
iomega.com
iomega.com
iomega.com

May 2nd, the masthead begins to peal.
iomega.com
(it still says "because it's your stuff")

May 11th, the man's eyes are watching the upper left corner
iomega.com

May 12, the pealing masthead reveals the word "your"
iomega.com
iomega.com
(masthead now says, "What's going on here?")

I can't find the popup by clicking, but the gif that everyone is talking about is here:
iomega.com

Looking forward to watching the masthead peal some more.

Long,
Vin

ORB Party Continues...

That last post was so much fun, I decided to follow up with another testimonial for ORB!

x43.deja.com
I was a prior Jaz owner before I turned to SyQuest, and now Orb. I use my drives excessively and my Jaz drive corrupted 3 disks not to mention suffer the infamous Click of Death... all in a one month period! My replacement fared no better, although it lasted about 6 months. IMO Iomega's manufacturing & quality are poor compared to that of the defunct SyQuest and the present day Castlewood. They are also extremely ridiculous with their prices.

You just can't stop ORB.....
