[SAP cont.] The tricky part for many companies is getting their inventory situation straight. SAP keeps inventory real time. It expects everyone to do their job in a timely and accurate manner. Usually companies spend the first few months coming up with procedures so that the employess won't blow it up. Sales availability can basically shut you down if the inventory is not right. Also, if the deliveries are not booked correctly, billing can be slowed down which is what can cause disaster as the company then may have to borrow more working capital to get over the hump until things are under control.
