NETD is Skytel's partner in the wireless Alert business. You might want to take a close look at the this press release between Skytel and E-Bay. biz.yahoo.com NETD's volume shot through the roof today, thought I doubt the general public knows much about why. This is a very small cap stock that has made some very big friends. As a few are aware, Skytel and NETD are partners in the wireless business. In fact, that is apparently how netd made the move into Office Depot. And if you read the press release on the Skytel/E-Bay deal, you see that this new venture is exactly what netd provides to skytel. There is little doubt that netd will either break this news prior to the May 19th conference, or at the conference. If the press release comes before the conference, there may even be other news. What is interesting about the Skytel/E-Bay deal, if I am right about NETD's part in all this, is that E-Bay will also become another outlet for sales of NETD's services. According to the release, E-Bay will be selling it's own branded pagers (Rebranded Skytel I suppose). And the whole point of them selling the pagers will be to receive the bid alerts, so netd's services should come with every pager sold. This is obvious guess work on my part, but it is very logical given the current partnership between Skytel and NETD. And it would be a double event for NETD. Not only would they be providing the alerts for well known E-Bay, but also have a new and potentially huge sales outlet. If it is true, NETD is going to get a LOT more exposure and we will see some price growth on this stock that no one so far thought to imagine.
