PiMac, you are welcome, but may I make a small suggestion. Find a copy of Paul Samuelson's classic introductory text in economics, perhaps at a university bookstore, and peruse it. Samuelson is a liberal, so grab a copy of Milton Friedman's "Free to Choose", which circulated in paperback as a companion to a PBS series almost 20 years ago, to get a libertarian/conservative viewpoint. Those two ought to get you started, and prevent the re-invention of the wheel:-)....If "Free to Choose" is not in print, it should not be that difficult to find in a well- stocked second hand bookstore, especially near a college or university...
