I for the most part agree with this statement. However, partly because I believe that nothing good can come from the government, partly because I believe that Clinton is amoral, shallow, venal and dishonorable, and partly because I believe that his presidency has harmed our nation in ways that we haven't even begun to ascertain, I seriously doubt that he can give us anything that would redeem him.

But if, by whatever odd twist, he manages to rise above his blind self-interest, and actually does something wholly out of character, that is something actually beneficial to the country as a whole -- I hereby grant you the right to say "I told you so."
