Unfortunately, the electorate doesn't have a line item veto on their candidates' agenda. And usually, that agenda is mostly fuzzy at best. Candidates and officeholders try their best to withhold details in order to avoid controversy and criticism from opponents. There are some policies, even if one disagrees such as in Kosovo, that most conservatives would not like to see him fail. Win or lose in Kosovo, the foreign relations area will require a lot of work for the next administrations to correct.
