Interesting, Teflon. Do you think this is part of the T arrangement? A poster on the msft thread described Mr. Softee's buying spree as unfocused, but I think there is a complex master plan being these "unconnected" moves. Could it be leading to a voluntary split of Microsoft into a handful of baby Gorillas, a la the AT&T model for escaping prosecution by the doj?

btw, the G&K board is approaching 2K posts. When we kicked it off in mid February, my hope was that it might become self sustaining. I never dreamed it would turn into such a fine community and productive research tool. Many thanks to a great group of threadmates.
