Steven--I think your comment about Murphy is the joke. His picks are up 553% in the last 10 years and he has averaged 38%/year since '82. If that's not credible, what is?
BTW--I don't subscribe to his newsletter.

Mike Murphy, the editor of the California Technology Stock Letter is a joke.

You might have a point. An article carried on today's Dow Jones Online News states:

'Murphy runs a technology fund called the Monterey Murphy New World Technology Fund, which posted an 8.2% loss last year and had the worst three-year record among 44 tech funds tracked by Morningstar. The fund's performance compared with a 27.6% average annual gain in the tech-fund category, the Wall Street Journal reported in February.'
