Does the market care about anything? It seems to me that under the "New Era" paradigm all news is good news.

Perhaps "New Age" would be more appropriate. All you have to do is think it and it will manifest. I think all the analysts are spending their weekends at Deepak Chopra seminars. You just watch. Some analyst put a target of 270 on IBM this morning and I'll bet they get her half way there by the end of the day.

Haim,
Haven't heard the term stagflation in a long time. It occurred after a 700% increase in oil prices. This time oil prices have only increased 40% to 50%. Yes, there is a blip on the inflation radar screen; however, I think it's just that. You have to expect a little inflation if your objective is to reinflate commodity prices to fight deflation.
