My understanding of this is that "smart cards" are quite popular in Europe. Now that Microsoft is pushing this technology, it is only a matter of time before every PC is shipped with a smart card reader. Indeed, with Dell's push into Europe, even more momentum will be generated towards machines with smart cards. ...at some point, smart cards could catch on in the US the way they have in Europe. So it is a very good time to buy ATML. The trend here may be a little bit like an "Internet wave"...except of course this is a semi company.
