Justa, from my perspective, it is nice to be sitting on a good piece of fundamental analysis where I got in SFAM, after you cleared up the numbers for me, at a p/b & p/s well into the bargain basement range. IF you believe the market has truely bottomed and the demand will skyrocket as I do, then you can handle more risk of not really knowing what the h@#l is going on! 8)

side note, I am starting to believe Ultrastink might never see $13's again and head up into the promised land turning it into "Ultrabright" where it can polish our watermelon smiles. (Looks to be a good time to buy or add at $14)

regards
Kirk (still in SFAM) out

Justa,
I apoligize for not getting back to you sooner as I'm traveling right now in the southwest and I've been extremely busy. There is something going on as someone is definitely accumulating these shares. I did find out that Roger Marach was forced out "nicely"(if there is such a thing) as Richie Faubert wanted his own guy! But since Faubert is a plant for Richard Hill and NVLS I doubt very seriously that we will see a new CFO anytime soon. He was forced out and there is no doubt in my mind that there was a difference of opinion between Faubert and Roger Marach. Roger was instrumental in building this company from the ground up and I think he has a difference of opinion as to the direction the new management is taking. This information is leaking into the market very quickly! Option activity is picking up and a friend of mine at SFAM said TEL was in for a visit recently, so now Mr.Hill and Mr. Levy have some decisions to make. I think Roger's resignation fits in here somewhere, as maybe TEL made an unsolicited (good)offer and they decided to turn it down. Who knows? But I will try and find out more shortly! IPEC does have a distribution agreement with TEL so there is an established relationship and the subject came up during the conf. call. Gotta go.........take care!

Lex

Justa,<<The entire sector is down but for SFAM which is up to $17 7/8 as I write after closing at the high yesterday on high volume. The stock is in play for some reason and that is clear now.>>

I took the money today and sold all the shares in my taxable acct at 17. My basis on those shares purchased 3 weeks ago was $10.75 so I've done okay. I sweated over the taxes before I pushed the sell button. And this is my first ever net sale of a semi equip. I wanted to hold but could not for the following reasons.

1) The valuation, installed base of products and strong balance sheet originally caused me to buy SFAM-Ipec and that has now been compromised.

2) As Justa said, the stock is in play for some significant reason. I already have a huge position in NVLS that I took on the cheap last fall. And even though a takeover by NVLS would be reason to hold for almost certain significant upside potetential from here, we don't know what is going on (part of being a retail slob) for sure.

3) That SFAM excluded me from the CC this week pissed me off. Ian is right: there are other opportunities to choose from. I'm not comfortable with my knowledge regarding what is happening with the company at this time.

This was a great call a month ago by Justa, but I'm out at a good profit.

Rgds, D
