This particular batch of children (90% of daytraders) have never seen a bear market. And there are MILLIONS of these guys/gals. They move markets. They amount for the majority of trades in most tech stocks, and ALL internut stocks.

These daytraders are what the new fangled "program trading" was to 1987.

An unregulated and uncontrolled economic disaster waiting to happen. Except the program trading was easy to modify. The daytraders will just keep it up until they are broke.

That's exactly what I got from the thanksgiving table(1998). Forget the stock, only the "why" of the players.
