Don't forget that eBay already reported 70 percent growth OVER the Christmas quarter, for the first three months of this year.

Also, the growth during the first half of the current quarter (compared to the first half of the first quarter) has averaged in excess of 40 percent.
I said that I expect the overall quarterly growth will slow to about 30 percent.

BUT, because of eBay extracting more fees, I expect the revenue increase to be higher (as much as 40 percent).

Now, WHY is growth falling off?

Amazon has probably knocked 2 percent off the growth rate.

Also, eBay grew too quickly during the past quarter.

But, more importantly, eBay will need to be more aggressive in going after serious sellers.
