From the IATV thread: Re: The post from Yahoo! (different camera angles, instant replays etc)." I don't understand whose technology does what, but isn't the above part of Fox Sports Net's (FSN) utilization of Questec's technology? QuesTec will provide FSN with a real-time video and computer based tracking and scoring system that creates a virtual replay for television and a behind-the-scenes analysis tool for commentators. QuesTec's technology will instantly display a real-time three-dimensional view of pitches, including the speed, movement and location of the ball from its release-point to the back of home plate. This real-time three-dimensional rendering of actual pitches graphically illustrates the difference between a slider, curveball, forkball or fastball -- enhancing the broadcast for commentators and viewers alike. In addition, any pitch from any inning can be recalled and displayed at any time during the game, or a number of pitches can be shown full-screen in any sequence, or as a split-screen comparison. These features are very effective in illustrating key pitches, key at bats and pitcher/batter match-ups. QuesTec's production services will raise the level of FSN's broadcast coverage." biz.yahoo.com I am long in IATV and have been reading this thread for months now, as well as the QSTI thread, but I still can't quite figure out where one technology ends and another begins. Sorry, guess I will never get it. I know that last year IATV and QSTI did a "demo" together, which led me to believe they were synergistic but different technologies that can operate without the other. As I am writing this, I am beginning to wonder if what I am missing here is that QSTI produces the "content" and IATV enables the viewer to "pull"....? Can anyone explain to me in terms that even I might understand? Really do appreciate all the information on this board even if I don't understand it all....LOL Many thanks Bill
