About the IQC charting product, from their site:

WHAT MAKES IQ CHART UNIQUE?
IQC's stated goal is to provide superior technical analysis to all investors, anywhere in the world, using any operating system. Following that objective has given rise to a product with unique characteristics that greatly assist the online investor. These distinctions fall into three categories: accuracy, simplicity and flexibility.

Accuracy:
The utility of any calculation is entirely predicated on its exactness. While many stock analysis tools generate their technical indicators based on end-of-day data, IQ Chart calculates relevant indicators based on each individual tic of the trading day. This creates advantages for our customers. First, it allows technical analysis to be performed on detailed stock charts during the trading day using same-day data. Second, it allows us to generate otherwise expensive indicators reliant on tic-by-tic calculations, such as money flow.

Simplicity:
In devising IQC's proprietary charting and technical modules, we intended to create a program that was advanced and powerful, yet fundamental and easy-to-use. This shatters the idea that there is a tradeoff between added value and added burden on the Internet server. The benefits to online investors are numerous. Our charts and technical studies generate quickly, allowing our customers to study multiple stocks using a 28.8 modem. Advanced search queries are performed readily, allowing extensive and varied testing. IQ Chart customers can focus on the substance and interpretation of data rather than waiting for a convoluted output.

Flexibility:
IQC recognizes that no two investors are alike. Each of our customers has different goals, interests, trading systems and levels of capital. Being useful to all investors requires us to adjust to anyone's investing preferences. Written in Java, IQ Chart is ultimately compatible with every programming language, database and operating system. This type of flexibility is also transferred to the software itself, where each major function is easily customizable. Any user can create multiple analytical templates personalized to their own individual needs.

IQC has great products, extremely well aligned with what is missing from SI. The integration of IQC, Stocksite and SI, will be a tough task logistically, but, when accomplished, will clearly provide the premier stock information and evaluation site on the web. I have a lot of confidence that the GNET team will accomplish this effectively.

Look at the value the market gave TheStreet.com and see what is the potential value of this single part of the GNET family of web sites and services.

What's the next acquisition/alliance on this front? TSCN--another Paul Allen investment? Or is this enough for now?

Consider this:

We may have reached the bottom of the dip. I think that by retesting but not going through the recent low of 120ish that the shorts may have run out of steam. Barring a major world upset, this could be the low. Regardless, with today's acquisition of IQC, Go2Net is a good buy at these levels.

For those who may be interested, I sold about 6% of my position in GNET at $150 on the 3rd of May for personal reasons. At today's prices and in considering recent movements and news, I liquidated my AMZN position to re-aquire that 6% plus 3% more, which places my entire position at about 1,000. I think this will pay off.

Regards,

Dany
