Rose you are not alone, almost every time I think I understand what I'm doing with TA something unexpected pops up. I held USWB for a while and finally sold it (each day it was dropping even with everyone here rooting for it) The next day it shot up!

I'm in TA level .01 on a level 10 scale so don't feel bad.<VBG> I'll PM you after the market close about how I use these chart thingy which has given me some measure of success. I had this TA book a while back where it describes TA technicians at 3 levels... first level being 20% chart and 80% "gut feel"... the third level being a technician that develops a system of alerts and indicators to fit his needs... I'm 5% chart and 95% gut feel so that should tell you something... :))

SF

PS: I don't mean to wise crack... I'll PM you later... BTW USWB broke the lower band coming up and broke the 50EMA and 10EMA in my 15 min ticker... a ST trader does not normally care where the stock is painting to buy. USWB was red but the ST live chart was bullish... now bearish as I type this.

Rose,
I just saw Tom Dorsey on CNBC and he explained TA. It was pretty good. Also, Jenna explained it once and I thought I printed it but couldn't find it. does anyone know where this is. It's probably on MG somewhere.
Also, do you have to subscribe to a service to find current TA on a particular stock or is this something you have to plot yourself? Sorry for the beginner questions. Just trying to learn.

Thanks,
Linda L.
