In my case trading a small part is distracting. I guess it depends on your personal makeup. I figure the small marginal return isn't worth the "aggrivation." I'd rather focus on the core positions and stay as current as possible with those. I find myself branching out into more marginal issues occasionally, but inevitably trade out of them.

The stakes involved here now is plenty-enough stimulation for me.
