I agree. And as for the barriers to entry, company insiders are keenly aware of the difficulty of entering any market where they're not already leaders. To do that you have to have technology that will leap ahead of the competition. If not, by the time you catch up, the competition will be at the next level --- a losing proposition.

In the undersea space, certification is lengthy and extremely demanding. Products have to test to a 100-year lifespan. And it appears each company has its own requirements so certification in one doesn't guarantee any others.

I've been watching these companies all morning and am impressed with their strength.

Have read many of your posts on the VTSS thread...now starting to see you roam a bit on both SDL and UNPH. Question:

I know you are a big fan of both VTSS & PMCS...think you have mentioned in the past that you own both. In the area of photonics, does it make sense at this point in your opinion to own both SDL and UNPH?

With tremendous growth ahead, it may make sense to go with both.
