Jon, sure, it may be just a blip and not yet a serious trend change. i would say that once the next two PPI and CPI reports are in a clearer picture will emerge. conceivably the economy could slow down somewhat in the second and third quarter, thus relieving some of the price pressures. but i wouldn't bet on that, as there are so many warning signs flashing with regards to inflation (with the notable exception of gold, but there is growing suspicion that the price of gold may be manipulated to some extent). regards, hb
