Doug: I believe that when you knowingly support stocks that are active in immoral activities that you bring reproach on the name of Jesus. But think of all the grey areas. RJR preferred ( tobacco ) An. Bush. ( beer ). Distilleries, birth control ( catholics ). The list is endless. That is why without the leading and guiding and infilling of the Holy Spirit , as given to us by God at the point of salvation and a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ, mankind is lost. We on our own are helpless to please God. It is only in Christ that God can be pleased with mankind. Speaking of tithes and offerings, they will not save us. When we have unforgiven sins God can reject our tithes and offerings; He is more inclined to where our heart is than where our tithes and offerings are. In Christ.gregor
