john...perhaps we have become desensitized to the movements of that which we are intimate with...i started buying dell in 96, only mistake i made was selling the splits for the first two years...so instead of having an unbelievable gain, i have an incredible gain...my recent purchase of 10k shares since february have finally made my cost basis a positive number...i'm not a dell fanatic, just believe it has perhaps one of the best managements around...i include it with msft and intc.... we are in an era of negative sensationalism....cnbc must sell advertising, multi frame bloomberg screen doesn't make it...cnbc tabloid style is addictive(read recent fortune mag article) bad news sells.....don't know many, if any bears, shorters,put buyers, who can match the returns and accumulated wealth of most dell long term investors...why be scared into selling, only regrets for doing so! waiting for 70, and the next split....ed a.
