Etrade knows if you have 2 accounts under the same name...

I've got a regular trading act. as well as an IRA act., but I've never gotten shares in both, even with good, identical timestamps for an IOI.

I created the IRA act. about 5 months after the regular act.
These 2 accounts are NOT linked, and have 2 separate login names and passwords, but when I call Etrade with a question, they always ask me which account I'm talking about. My wife wants an account, so I guess I'll open one under my her name(maybe then I'll be able to double-dip)

If anyone has been able to get shares in two acounts registered to the same person, please respond to the thread.
