Seems like they have a history of bailing on deals. Anyone here think they'd like to have Viracept back:) On the flip side they bailed on the alternative insulin drug a while back which was argueably the right decision. Grrr... can't remember the name of the drug or partner at the moment though. J&J poured a huge amount into that one before bailing out. This may boil down to J&J wanting to prop up eps in the short run... at the expense of the long run.
