g - don't see how they will be disarmed - nobody wants to shed blood - so they will probably roam free and will be able to operate from Albania if necessary. d

Do you think maybe building a holocaust memorial for those Kosovars who were brutally killed by the Serbs would mollify them??

After all, that's what we did with the Jews who died under Nazi Germany, isn't it??

We should never have gotten involved in the Korean conflict either, I guess? After all, that was a civil war as well.

Just what cause is worth fighting for you?? Just which political or military mass murderer isn't worthy of your "rehabilitation"? What crime is too much??

Should I transfer this new value judgement to domestic murderers and rapists as well??

Call me stupid, but I just don't believe that we can permit someone like Milosevic, who has such a long-standing track record of encouraging violence against Serbia's ethnic neighbors, to get away with his power and corrupt fortune intact.

That would be tantamount to exonerating John Gotti, who was caught on tape ordering someone's murder, simply because he was willing to pull his wise guys and soldiers off the streets.

Give me a break. The world is a criminal place. I have no problem confronting mass murderers or ethnic cleansers as a member of the UN.

What I resent is that the US finds itself doing primarily by itself and when "oopps!" someone makes a mistake and innocent people die we catch the heat.

I'm willing to take a chance to do some "good" in the world. We can't fix everything, but if we don't try we'll never fix anything.

Regards,

Ron
