-OT- from a lurker and novice investor. I have been hanging around here trying to soak up all this knowledge and found this P. Volker comment and I am wondering what y'all might think. I remember PV from the Oct 87 days and have a lot of respect for what he did after the crash. Anyway here is what he said - sorry don't have the link or whole speech: Paul Volker......Former Fed Chief and alleged Inflation killer......said today that "the US Economy is powering the world economy, the stock market is powering the US economy, and 50 stocks 1/2 of which are not making money are powering the stock market.."
