Lately I've been doing a lot of construction lending work and refinancings for the banking/lending clients. I tend to get into court only if the lending workouts get heated or if someone tries to interfere with a client's rights to say, for instance, collect rents from income property if the borrower fails to pay. Actually the Court forum I most frequently appear in is the bankruptcy court. Used to get into federal court quite a bit when I represented the FDIC 1991-1995. Cut my teeth in the lending/workout business back in the early eighties in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, etc. when I was special counsel to the FSLIC. JLA
