National semi was announcing 6 months ago that they had taped out a product and in the last conference call they were oncing taping it out for the third time

Do you have any evidence that this information was incorrect?

The company is creating integration in chips- a sort of animal that hadn't existed before. It may be tough work?

I recall Halla's quote saying he would accept delays if it means the core is reusable. Hence, I think he may have something there.

I also wonder if any NSM retained patents in this area make it tough
for others to solve any associated problems NSM may have already solved.

Now I am full of conjecture, aren't I? I reckon I couldn't prove something wouldn't come along to supercede such patents even if they exist. I don't know. Help!
