If you think there's any chance of that happening, you ought to buy some puts to protect your position. I bought a pretty sizeable position in Dell this afternoon based in part on a lot of scuttlebutt I've been hearing about the quarter, but it's gonna be fully hedged come Tuesday a.m.

P.S. My gosh! I just noticed there are over 120k posts on this thread. Incredible.

Frank, re:<< We all know what happened with Dell after Niles. Does Paine Webber have some kind of inside information that spells trouble for shareholders?

This remark is exactly the reaction that Pain Webber wanted and you gave in to them with your doubts.

DELL is the BEST managed Company and will surprise all of you .

Dorine
God Bless

<<<<If Dell doesn't come through as we have been lead to believe over the past few months, I'll personally see about filing a class action lawsuit. Let's not forget, there is such a thing as pre-announcing bad news. Last quarter's miss was on us, if they miss this quarter, its going to be on Dell. (Of course, our investments will get killed.)>>>>>

Personally, I think this should have been done last quarter for
the Niles leak...how could his figures have been so accurate???
Last quarter's miss SHOULD NOT have been on us....and this
quarter's miss will--through our investments--will be on us
too.....as if we can afford it...last time I checked I didn't
have a DELL sized bank account.

Add my name to the lawsuit.

Why shouldn't Dell be held accountable to the same degree
as those fellas running the "other boxmaker"?

Stockbull,

Is that lawsuit still on? What did Michael Dell say about
the analysts being "overjoyed" at the results?
